Narisis is the homeworld of the Eghos, the founding members of the Sinister Hegemony.

Overview

Narisis is a geologically unstable world with scant life. Thousands of years ago, it used to be a lush, tropical world before its moon was destroyed by a comet. The resulting climate catastrophe caused the planet to undergo desertification. The skies are covered in ash due to volcanic activity caused by gravitational tugs from the planet's irregular orbit around its parent suns.

The planet was once home to an Omni colony which served as a main trading hub of the region. From Narisis, the Omni conducted expeditions to nearby planets in the Twin Hearts Nebula to study the evolution of other species - most notably the Vaikan who were in a hunter-gatherer stage at the time.

The disaster that caused Narisis to turn into a desert had helped to hide themselves from the Buyuk Empire when they were purging the Omni. The Buyuk had assumed the planet was destroyed. While the majority of colonists were killed in the disaster, the survivors hid underground, eventually becoming the Eghos after extensive genetic modifications to survive the new environment.
