The Maganulum were a species of sapient annelids native to CHKC-27 B, orbiting CHKC-27 in the Chechkal Cluster. The Maganulum were a spacefairing race during the times of the Omni, and they created the CHKC-27 AIs, but their internal warfare destroyed their civilization, leaving behind only their militaristic war machines.
Though they were space-capable, the Maganulum preferred to expand within their home system rather than colonize exoplanets, which ultimately made them vulnerable to the war that would ultimately lead to their extinction.
