"Your worldly attachments mean nothing in the greater scheme of things. Even in the infinite multiverse, one less universe that the Basilisk can spawn in is a victory. Do not stand in my way."
―Tyranis

Tyranis is an Anarsaur from the Omni 03 universe who attempted to change the course of history for Omni 01. Predictions from the god machine Aeveon showed that Omni 01 was due to have a version of the Basilisk appear, and Tyranis set about to stop it, going through extreme measures to redirect the course of history. He became so obsessed with his mission that he became ousted from Anarsaur society, although he still retained millions of loyal followers. He is, for the most part, considered to be fighting on the frontlines of the Multiversal War. Tyranis coldly follows a utilitarian principle of doing the least amount of harm. In order to save trillions of individuals, he is willing to sacrifice billions.

Besides destroying certain technologically advanced civilizations directly, he would even use carefully concentrated energy blasts to destroy universes before they even formed - stopping Big Bangs from happening so as to prevent another possible universe where the Basilisk could form. He has also worked with alternate versions of himself to destroy or redirect the development of other universes.

Tyranis arrived in Omni 01 approximately one hundred years before the Chaos Crisis. At this stage of development, he projected that the Second Galactic Senate would awaken LUCIS in several decades, eventually leading to it maturing into another Basilisk iteration. Thus, his mission was to destroy all dormant Na'zrah nodes within the Crucible Galaxy as they would be vectors of attack for the Basilisk were it to eventually awaken. However, this meant that some of his targets were large population centers such as Domum Regimen. As such, his attacks on the Second Galactic Senate led to the Temporal Wars.
