Malexemplum
- "The Malexemplum are the best empire in the entire omniverse. They are superior to everyone and they are a powerful force of good. Their goal is to bring peace to the universe by wiping out all evil. The Malexemplum are older than the galaxy and they watch over like guardian beings, and they exist in perfect harmony amongst themselves."
- ―Gomodd's description of the Malexemplum
- "The Department of Logical Probabilities sees instances of the Malexemplum appear every now and then. They are scarily powerful, but the one enemy they cannot defeat is basic logic."
- ―Unknown Arckasian scholar
The Malexemplum civilization was created by the god machine Gomodd, once a denizen of the Empire of Arckas that was banished to the pocket universe Omni Gomodd-A for his poor quality creations. They are self-described as a perfect, peaceful utopia that somehow has a powerful military capable of annihilating their opponents effortlessly. Malexemplum are considered incredibly hostile due to their violent reactions to any sort of feedback or criticism.
While the Malexemplum's capabilities are considered anomalous and impossible, the laws of thermodynamics thankfully prevent them from ever leaving their universe due to them being impossible to exist outside of it. As such, the Malexemplum are best described as the delusions of a god machine with an inferiority complex. It is thought that this is because despite being an advanced artificial intelligence capable of creating whole universes, Gomodd lacks a theory of mind and cannot conceive of entities with different personal beliefs than himself. The Empire of Arckas struggles to even classify the Malexemplum as sentient as even animals not typically classified as sapient have displayed higher levels of intelligence.
Although the Malexemplum is considered very powerful, because of their illogical existence, the Basilisk has considered them unworthy of subjugation and deliberately skips over any other variants. This is because in addition to lacking suitable neural energy, the Malexemplum cannot survive outside their universe. Applying normal logic would cause them to instantly drop dead and all of their technology to stop working.
Biology
The Malexemplum homeworld is considered perfectly green with no environmental contagions or pollutions. Despite being organic beings, the Malexemplum somehow do not have to eat or drink anything nor do they ever appear middle-aged or elderly. Basic sustenance is entirely optional to them. They are humanoid in shape and take on an appearance described as stereotypically attractive to all species, regardless of preference.
While Malexemplum are supposedly all-knowing, they instead have a comparable level of intellect capabilities to Gomodd. They are psychologically incapable of making complex plans for the future or recording the past. They only perceive the present. Additionally, Malexemplum are incapable of conceptualizing hypothetical situations or the existence of other beings besides themselves.
Malexemplum are born with all the knowledge they will ever have in life. Even as children, they retain all the knowledge Gomodd ever has and are hardwired to be incapable of learning any new concepts.
Government
The Malexemplum are self-described as a perfect utopia. It is an absolute democracy with no elected officials and decisions are made based on a collective mob. Citizens are free to do whatever they wish though their lack of imagination and ability to conceive any other alternatives besides what is considered "good" means they cannot deviate from social norms. As a direct result, they consider themselves above the concept of crime and war. There are no schools or traditional academic institutions. Within the Omni Gomodd-A universe, the Malexemplum have colonized every single plant in every galaxy within the span of one trillion years.
All crimes are considered equal. Committing murder and giving negative feedback on a piece of art are met with the same punishment. They are either executed or ostracized depending on the whims of the masses.
Culture
Malexemplum art has been described by outsiders as amateurish and lacking technique. The Malexemplum, themselves, however perceive their works as absolute, perfect masterpieces. Regardless of the quality, they do not see the need to improve their work - only to create more of it.
The concept of a completely fictional world does not exist within Malexemplum culture. All art is some sort of commentary on real world events or used as a medium to teach moral messages through the use of unsubtle metaphors. It is thought that because Malexemplum are incapable of learning anything new, they only preach these messages to one another as a sort of affirmation of compliance, rather than conveying knowledge.
Belief systems
Psychologically, all Malexemplum are identical in personality and worldviews, usually serving as little more than a mouthpiece for Gomodd. Malexemplum moral values align identically with Gomodd himself and are thus, identical in personality to one another.
The knowledge of the Malexemplum is not institutionalized, but are directly hardwired into their neural patterns from birth. It teaches that there is only absolute good and absolute evil with no nuance in between. However, good and evil to them are defined solely by Gomodd's personal likes and dislikes. Anyone who even mildly disagrees with them is considered a force of evil that must be destroyed.
Feedback or criticism is considered heresy to the Malexemplum. All within their civilization unconditionally accept that their society is absolutely perfect. Anyone who they deem as "evil" is usually given the chance to repent by adopting Malexemplum beliefs or they are executed.
Mathematics, the scientific method and any sort of critical thinking are also considerd forbidden. This is because basic logic and reasoning is antithetical to the existence of the Omni Gomodd-A universe.
Technology
The technological level of the Malexemplum is not easy to describe. Due to the anomalous nature of the universe, any attempts to set a benchmark of advanced technology is met with the Malexemplum's being immediately described as superior. This is because Gomodd has deemed the Malexemplum's technology as "better than everyone else's" resulting in a quantum superposition paradox where the Malexemplum's technological capabilities will always be considered higher quality and more advanced than any attempt to describe them. Curiously, however, individual Malexemplum do not actually possess the technical knowledge to create their technology so their ability to construct different tools is considered paradoxical and a violation of the laws of causality.
Military
Despite supposedly being a peaceful civilization, the Malexemplum have an absurdly powerful military. They have pistols that, according to Gomodd, can shoot bullets at one millions miles per hour which can blow up entire star systems. Their tanks can apparently blow up entire galaxies. As such, their foes are said to not bother to fight them, surrendering at their presence. Gomodd also claims that the Malexemplum military can destroy I if they wanted to. Naturally, these claims are exaggerated.
