Oraktus-3

Oraktus-3 is a dim, yet life bearing planet that orbits the white dwarf Oraktus. It is home to the Tarafos species.

Characteristics

Oraktus-3 is large, yet low gravity terrestrial world with a thick atmosphere. The planet is less dense than average, and thus, contains extreme geographical features to include enormous, hollowed caverns. The tidal activity from its two moons Merimang and Pauk help to warm the planet and incite volcanic activity. The planet also experiences a very slow day night cycle of around 128 hours.

Much of the biosphere consists of flora and fauna that have adapted to dim light. Much of the habitable areas are covered in giant trees with no leaves and many branches. Its crimson sap is unusually viscous, running like blood. These trees are covered in extensive webs from the local Tarafos who have engineered elaborate structures from them.
