Lurayun was the former homeworld of the Katrakhan. After the infamous Katrakhan Revolt, the entire planet's biosphere was destroyed with much of its atmosphere lost.

Atmosphere

Although Lurayun is outside the habitable zone, the presence of greenhouse gases allowed it to maintain a constant temperature with a high air pressure. The higher altitudes are generally inhospitable to life, but subsurface hotsprings keep the ground warm.

Geography

Lurayun was covered in 75% hydrocarbon oceans. There are few sources of oxygen on the planet, so ice is mostly present in the form of frozen natural gas.
