Valuri

The Valuri were an Arckasian species that originated from the planet Vire in the Bloodstain Nebula from the remote Sanguine Galaxy.

Biology

The Valuri evolved as a nocturnal species with winged forearms. They are liquivores, feeding exclusively on the blood of other animals.

Valuri also have a high sensitivity to ultraviolet light. They often have to cover their bodies head to toe if exposed to direct sunlight of a G type star or greater.

Society

Their most predominant civilizations have come to utilize the distribution of blood in highly effective manners. Before leaving the Sanguine Galaxy, they conquered other nearby species to put them in blood farms. These farms were not necessarily for nourishment but rather a means of cultivating exotic dishes. The Valuri genetically modified themselves to tolerate the blood of other alien species that would otherwise not be compatible.
