Vire is the home planet of the Valuri species. Located in the Bloodstain Nebula of the Sanguine Galaxy, Vire orbits the binary red dwarf pair known as the Devil's Eyes.

Characteristics

Vire is circumbinary to its parent stars and is positioned quite far. Though warmed by a thick atmosphere and the tidal pulls of its large moon Yhorg, it is dimly lit. Yhorg is a vibrant crimson red in the sky, also serving as a light source during the planet's dark nights. Yhorg is sometimes considered large enough to be a double planet to Vire.

The skies are almost constantly covered in clouds due to the planet's heavy volcanic activity. Much of the planet's surface is shaped by this volcanic activity, covering much of the landscape in igneous rock.

Plant-life on Vire is a deep black color to absorb whatever limited sunlight it can. The oceans also have a high concentration of iron resulting it having the appearance of blood. As such, the Valluri's name for their oceans as the Seas of Blood is considered rather accurate.
