The Lael'eth are the most technologically-advanced species native to the Drabreim Sector. They're also the 2nd most peaceful of the native races (second only to the near-pacifistic Syreni).

Staunch allies of the Syreni and more strained (but still viable) allies with the Sunovians, the Lael'eth are usually the ones called upon to fight the Kallekite, when they attempt an invasion of other Drabreim Species territories.

Biology

The Lael'eth have a strange biological system that, upon reaching the individual's physical prime, begins producing an effect that reverses aging such that a Lael'eth will not die of old age, but is still vulnerable to other means of ending their lives.

Sexual dimorphism of the Lael'eth results in males having more muscular bodies with shorter hair on their scalps, while Lael'eth females have longer hair on their scalps, and larger (and functional) mammary glands on their upper torso.

Lael'eth blood consists of the protein Hemocyanin, but due to the evolution of the Lael'eth circulatory system, combined with minerals found in Laelian organisms, Lael'eth Hemocyanin is more than capable of keeping up with the Hemoglobin used by some other races.

Lael'eth skin comes in a variety of shades of purple, from a pale lavender to a deep violet. Their hair can come in a similar range of colors, or could take on a shade of blue instead. Lael'eth eyes can come with irises consisting of warm colors: namely red, orange, gold, or yellow.

Culture

Lael'eth culture is generally seen as relatively peaceful, albeit not to an extent that leaves them defenseless: they prefer peace, but are willing to fight for it.

Lael'eth criminals are extremely rare, but when they DO appear, they can be very dangerous, as their extreme lifespans helps confer a sense of patience to Lael'eth criminals. It's rumored that a crime lord that exists in the Drabreim Sector is a Lael'eth that has lived since Lael'eth pre-spaceflight days.

Technology

Lael'eth technology, as far as Drabreim Sector natives go, is considered highly-advanced: antimatter power generation is common in Lael'eth technology, and their weapons systems consisting of a mix of railgun, ionized plasma, high-intensity plasma, plasma missile, and antimatter torpedo weaponry. Their defensive technology revolves around their "Phased Shielding", an energy shield system that derives its name from its ability to selectively choose whether to let what passes through the shield and what is blocked. Lael'eth armor is specifically adapted to counter laser and plasma weaponry, allowing it to absorb the energy of the attack and emit it back into space.

Lael'eth sensor technology uses a mix of spatial anomaly detection and tachyon-derived scanner systems.

Lael'eth Sublight propulsion is performed using Antimatter Drive Engines.
