The Lykrus are an Arckasian species that superficially resembles upright standing lupines. Hailing from the now destroyed Sortis Galaxy, they assimilated with other Arckasian societies, but the Shadow Lykrus notably broke off to join the Boneyard Necromancers.

Biology

Their former homeworld of Grimdall was known for having at least ten moons. Their behaviors were affected by their orbital positions and were largely responsible for controlling their circadian rhythm. As such, it was difficult for them to adapt to space travel as without the precise gravitational pull of these moons. Without the precise rhythm of these gravitational pulls, a Lykrus would enter a rage state where they become hostile to all those around them. As such, much of their early history involved them getting into conflicts with other species due to them being unable to control their rage. They were also exploited by other species to use as soldiers, notably in the role of berserkers.

Technology

Over the years, the Lykrus managed to develop biological implants that could simulate these gravitational pulls which would allow them to calm themselves. This unprecedented calmness they experienced allowed them to eventually reach out to the Arckasians to join their society.

Culture

Moonlight Lykrus

The Moonlight Lykrus are a faction that prefers pacifism. While largely scattered, they have actively assisted other Arckasian species in their experiments in observing the evolution of other civilizations.

Shadow Lykrys

The Shadow Lykrus are a faction of Lykrys who have notably chosen not to make use of the calming implants. They instead embrace their rage states though they direct and control it to use for their personal gain.
