			The nebula's name was bestowed by the [[Vaikan]] - naming the nebula after the fact that a Vaikan has two hearts. Given that the nebula is the physical location of the Vaikan homeworld coupled with the fact that Vaikan hearts are associated with lifeblood and the soul, in many ways, the Twin Hearts Nebula is considered both the literal and metaphorical heart of Vaikan civilization.
