The Scar is believed to not be a natural phenomenon, but rather the result of an ancient battle between the Collective and the Boneyard Necromancers. Billions of years later, Thenebria drifted into the region of space after being ejected by its parent star during early formation.

Thenebria is home to a species of cephalopods known as the Hytenu who rove the ocean floor in nomadic tribes.
Physical characteristics
Thenebria is covered completely in ice on its surface which protects its underground oceans from cosmic rays. Despite having no parent star, Thenebria maintains a reliable long-term source of geothermal heat. Vents on the ocean floor are the source of life on the planet's ecosystem.
Ecosystem
Few species dare venture beyond due to the lack of resources anywhere besides the ocean floor. Most life consists of invertebrates with bioluminscent jellyfish and plankton being the most common sight. Life is clustered around the geothermal vents. Marine annelids root themselves on the ground, absorbing nutrients and filter feeding plankton.
